Avoid heavy lifting, or if you have to strain and lift, avoid holding your breath and instead exhale.
When sitting in your job for long intervals, try to take a walk or just stand up when you have a chance to take a break. Get off your chair at least 5-10 minutes every hour and change the way you load the weight on your buttocks from one side to another as often as you can. It is important in order to avoid the anal pressure being too constant.
Another way to prevent hemorrhoids is to empty your bowel as soon as you feel the need, avoid straining.
If you notice symptoms of diarrhea, coughing or constipation - seek treatment asap, or you may develop hemorrhoids.
Ideally, a bowel movement should be short, no longer than a few minutes. So avoid reading on the toilet and try to go when you are relaxed and can focus on getting the job done. Maintaining heatly emptying of the bowel and keeping the stool soft are important factors in preventing hemmroids.
Don't strain when you are on the toilet - any excess straining here will force the hemmorroids to swell.
Drink as much water as possible and maintain a good diet with lots of fiber. You can also use so called stool softeners that will assist you in shorter, strain-free bowel movements providing less strain on the anal veins.
Don't use too much laxatives as diarrhea can be as bad as constipation when it comes to hemorroids.
Check with your specialist which over-the-counter products you can use for hemroid relief to remove the pain and itching. Don't forget to read up on side effects of any prescription drugs and also watch out for the symptoms of such side effects.
It is important to have exercise often and regularly, this helps avoiding constipation.
If suffering from hemorrhoids, be careful how you wipe (not too much) after bowel movements. Use preferably moist and very soft toilet paper, or baby wipes, this will assist you in hemmorrhoid relief. In difficult cases, wash gently instead of using toilet paper, then dry gently with a soft cloth.
Avoid any lifting or moving around of heavy items if you suffer from hemorrhoids.
Too much alcohol will change the blood flow out to the peripheral bloodvessels that conducts hemroid blood.
If you eat spicy food like chili peppers or hot mustards, you may encounter burning pain when emptying your bowel and it may also increase the amount of hemorrhoids swelling..
Hemorrhoids problems can be lower in the morning only to become very painful in the later part of the day.
If our advice here won't help, or if you notice anal bleeding, contact your doctor or physician.
When treating hemorrhoids, it is very imortant to actually find and treat the underlying cause for hemroids, not just the symptoms which would be of no long term use as they will simply come back later.

The four different stages of hemorrhoids:
Stage 1: Bleeding noticed in stool or on toilet paper
Stage 2: Hemmorroids prolapsing during a bowel movement only to retract back again afterwards
Stage 3: Prolapsing hemorrhoids that will not go back after the bowel movement without pushing back.
Stage 4: Prolapsed hemorrhoid which will not go back inside after a bowel movement and so constantly present
Note: Bleeding hemorrhoids are quite common but nevertheless you need to see your doctor if any rectal bleeding lasts more than only a short time (few days). Anal bleeding can be a symptom of much worse diseases such as colon cancer.
In many cases, hemorrhoids are treated with good result using over-the-counter meds, changing diet or by using traditional natural or herbal remedies - there are cases when you have to go to more extreme measures to get rid of hemmoroids.
