Hemoroids (hemorrhoids) surgery of hemroids

Hemmorroids injections: Phenolic oil is injected (around 2 ml) with a proctoscope and a syringe, not into the hemorrhoid (hemmerhoid) itself but rather under the muscle, just where the hemmroid is located. Phenolic oil is fairly toxic and although no side effects have been reported, as a precaution generally pregnant women is not treated with this method of hemmroid surgery. No anestathic is used as there should be no pain if done properly.

The visible effect of the hemmoroids injection will be noticeable within a few days and usually last for years. This treatment can then be repeated if the hemroids should come back.

Another surgery method of hemorroid treatment is to freeze the hemorrhoid so the hemoroids tissue will die.

Rubber band ligature - hemmoroids treatment

Rubber banding, or with a proper name - rubber band ligature - is yet another treatment used to get rid of hemoroids. A rubber bankd is put in place around the hemmeroid to stopp the blood flow through the hemmorroid. After around five days the hemroid will then fall off, followed by a small bleeding but that should stop almost immediately.

For external hemmroids the surgery is simply to cut them off. The risc of any return of these hemroids is below ten percent. Modern surgery uses either laser or electocautery for removing hemorroids. This can be used on both internal and external hemorrhoids.

There is also an infrared light method using a short burst of infrared light to cut off the blood circulation to minor, bleeding, internal hemoroids.

Haemmoroids can be either internal or external. Haemroids of the external, or prolapsed type of hemmerhoids are often the worst as there is more risk these hemriods will start bleeding or become inflamed. Internal haemmoroids can sometimes prolapse during a bowel movement and then go back again. Treatment of haemroids (hemmeroids) can range from herbal cures to haemmroid surgery. Pictures of hemmeroids are available on the net for your reference.
