Hemmoroids (hemmroids) symptoms treatment and relief

Hemmoroids (also called piles) are lumps of tissue that exists in the anal canal. Hemmroids are embedded in elastic fibres and muscles and they contain blood vessels.

There are two different types of veins in the anorectal area that can be affected by hemmoroids. These are the hammeroids veins (external and internal). Just on the inside of the anal sphincter, there are the external ones and the internal ones are located a bit higher in the rectum. Hemmorroids can be particularly painful if one of the larger of the internal veins falls through the sphincter muscle, which is called a propalsing hemorrhoid. This is the most common cause of hemroid pain (hemmorroid symptoms, haemorrhoids).

Internal hemorrhoids are found inside the anal opening below the lining of the anus. Sometimes these can become damaged, often from the pressure of bowel movements and this is when you will notice bleeding which is often very bright red.

External hemmoroids develop on the outside of the anus, they are internal hemmroids that have prolapsed. These external hemroids are blood vessels that have a thin skin layer as cover and this can easily rupture which again will cause bleeding. But even without damage, they are quite disturbing, often causing itching, pain and discomfort.

Hemmoroid symptoms (signs of hemmroids)

Bleeding is the most typical symptom of hemorroids, often bright red. Often but not always haemmoroids are combined with pain, especially during bowel movement. Sometimes the blood in a hemroid (hemorrhoid) can coagulate, the result being a thrombotised hemmorroid which can cause severe pain.

A patient who has hemorrhoids will have many small "pockets" on each side of the hemmroid. There is a risk that stool may stay in these pockets and later leak out causing hygienic problems, which is very common in cases with hemmeroids pain. This can also lead to hemmroid itching, sometimes rather severe hemmeroid itching.

An external hemorrhoid will usually be ball-shaped and located just outside your anus. The hemmoroid may be very painful when filled with blood and maybe also infected. There is also often anal hemoroid itching occuring due to the traumatisation of the skin around the anus from the hemmeroid. This comes from toilet paper (excessive use of), soaps and creams used (sometimes containing perfumes which are irritating).

Yeast infections and other parasite infections can also occur as secondary problems to hemmroids (haemmoroids) due to the strain on the anal skin tissue.

Hemroid relief - hemmroid (haemmoroid) removal

Using hemroid relief like anti-inflammatory hemmoroids creams, herbal hemmeroids ointments etc will not necessary be the cure for hemroids. It is rather the supplement that will give you hemmorroids relief while the main treatment is working to get rid of your hemmroids.

However, where you lack possibility to remove the causes of the hemmeroids, or where the hemorrhoids have become badly prolapsed hemmroids - surgery of your hemmeroids may be the only remaining option for hemmoroids treatment.

There are several different methods for hemroid surgery, depending on whether the hemorrhoids are external or internal hemmorroids.

Haemmoroids can be either internal or external. Haemroids of the external, or prolapsed type of hemmerhoids are often the worst as there is more risk these hemriods will start bleeding or become inflamed. Internal haemmoroids can sometimes prolapse during a bowel movement and then go back again. Treatment of haemroids (hemmeroids) can range from herbal cures to haemmroid surgery.
